Cosplay
Sometimes I get super into things and decide to make art based around them. Sometimes I decide to take it to the next level and I make silly outfits to wear in public for Halloween or San Diego Comic-Con. Please enjoy these photos of me at my nerdiest.
Soliare of Astora (Dark Souls)
Made for San Diego Comic-Con 2017. Handmade raglan shirt, tunic, leggings, vinyl wrist and shin armor, arm straps, scarf, faux fur shoulder cover, drawstring belt bag, and backpack. Tunic design was stenciled and painted by hand. Leggings and raglan top include reversible sequin material. Helmet purchased from BlackKeep on Etsy.
Sunlight Shield backpack made from white, yellow, and orange vinyl, brown canvas, metal snaps for the "rivets", fabric marker on white cotton for the face, and silver faux leather straps with buckles for the straps. Includes a zippered pocket on the back and inside.
Monarch's Henchman
(The Venture Brothers)
Worn at San Diego Comic-Con 2012 and 2013. Mask was handmade from a pair of glasses in my prescription with orange lenses, air-dry clay, and acrylic paint. The antennae and a butterfly belt buckle (not pictured) were from the same materials. Handmade belt and waist pack, shorts, legwarmers/"boots", and armwarmers (which were attached to the black turtleneck with snaps to keep them in place), and the shoes were a pair of Vans I painted yellow.
